Workshops

One of the directions of Robotex is to offer practical and manual robot-related activities also to those people who lack knowledge in engineering or have not had an opportunity to engage in this field. A variety of robotic-related seminars will be carried out and actual programming and robot building will be taught in the workshops.

Please note there might be slight changes in course time and location. The registered participants will be given information about changes via e-mail or text message system.

Building an Insect with Glowing Eyes Workshop

Building an Insect with Glowing Eyes Workshop

When it gets dark outside, you can make your appearance more fun by adding a small, cute homemade bug to your clothes. In this workshop, we will make an insect with glowing eyes. The eyes will glow when the insect is in a dark place. We will introduce what a printed circuit board is, along with electronic components and soldering – an activity that a true robotics enthusiast practices often. To build the insect, we will solder various components onto the printed circuit board. We will explain why these components are needed and how they are used. In our workshops, we do all the steps together, discuss the purpose of the components, and practice an individual approach. Everyone can do it, and everyone will finish their device!

Duration: 1 hour.

Target Audience: Children aged 9 and up. Younger children can participate with a parent.

Instructors: Ringa Rooteman, Ülari Ainjärv

Organized by Digipurk

Participation fee is 10€ (you get to take the insect home).

Register through the Fienta platform. To register, get a ticket and enter participant details HERE

The workshop can accommodate a maximum of 10 participants.

Building a Glowing Spinner Workshop

What could be more fun than spinning a spinner and watching the colorful patterns it creates? In this workshop, we will build a glowing spinner. It has different colored lights, and when the spinner is spun, the lights will turn on and create cool multicolored patterns.
