ALL IN ENGLISH

Robotex International Conference will be held on 25-26 until November 2022 in Tallinn, Saku suurhall. The high-level technology conference aims to develop human awareness in the field of robotics by the top experts in their field, bringing them together for a two-day event that can be followed on an international level virtually around the world, covered by all our franchises in their respective countries. The conference is intended for young people interested in technology as well as entrepreneurs and investors.

Robotex International is an annual technology event and one of the largest robotics festivals on the planet. Thousands of competitors, business leaders, pupils, students and families come together to hear presentations from leading robotics experts, build robots and learn about the latest developments in technology. The goal of the Robotex conference  is to generate and maintain interest in engineering, science and robotics among young people to ensure the continuous growth of the development of interdisciplinary robotics (mechanics, information technology, mechatronics, product design.

To reflect Estonia’s innovative and competitive science-based development activities to be seen out in the world; to develop synergistic cooperation between people interested in technology, future engineers and companies that are currently leading in this area. To popularize technology and provide an outlet and a platform so that activity in the field is sustainable for young people and interest and opportunities do not disappear in just a few years.

The purpose of the conference is to develop human awareness in the field of robotics by the top experts in their field, bringing them together for a two-day hybrid event that can be followed virtually at an international level. We use a format that has already been tried before, where interested parties and participants can follow both competition and conference areas through virtual opportunities, creating a larger audience from around the world. At Estonia’s largest robotics event, thanks to the franchises, it is possible to reach not only the contestants of the franchises and the selected conference guests, but also the homes of all the participating countries, thanks to the cooperation of each country, by marketing the given virtual event according to their own capabilities.

Friday November 25, 2022 TOPIC: AI & Cyber Security and Military Industry – Industry 5.0

On the first day of the Robotex conference, the topic is AI & Cybersecurity and the Development of Military Industry – Industry 5.0. Robots, automation and artificial intelligence are gradually taking over tasks and jobs that have been done by humans until now. New challenges and jobs are created. A lot of business will take place in space in the future, and that’s why it’s the right time for everyone to get interested in it, entrepreneurs as well as students, to find out what the latest technologies aimed at space are, both today and ten years from now. In connection with Estonia joining the European Space Agency, what is happening in space has become very relevant around here. It is being introduced by the top of the field from NASA.

Cyber security is a nuance familiar to everyone, which is constantly on the agenda and extremely necessary for processes in countries to function and the people to be protected. Estonia deals with the implementation of cyber security strategy and policy on a daily basis. The cyber security expert of Estonia’s digital state brings current events related to recent attempts to attack Estonia’s e-state.

The topicality of the military industry has increased due to the war in Ukraine, which has caused a situation where more and more news of the war is reported on a daily basis, in this regard, there is more and more talk about the military industry as a whole and different intelligence tactics and the creation and production of war objects necessary for war, where robotic mechanisms are used for mass production. This topic will be presented by experts in their field from Estonia, representing companies such as Milrem Robotics and Threode.

Saturday 26 November 2022 TOPIC: Education

The third day focuses on the topic of education. This day reflects different school levels and their special features in the field of robotics. Speakers will be able to introduce universities that contribute to the growth of new talents at the moment and companies who give opportunities to students that have just graduated universities.

In the second half of the day, the focus will be on ensuring the sustainability of energy and the green environment through robotic possibilities. Creating the image of a green city and reducing the environmental impact through technical innovations such as electric cars, electric scooters, parcel robots, robot snow plows, smart street heating, street lighting powered by solar batteries. This panel is performed by Solaride, Comudule, Starship and Tallinn City.

The end of the day is about keeping and developing the educational robotics community in Asia and Europe whose Robotics Community heads are in Tallinn to explain how robotics in school systems is.
